They have been the most consistent and well-performing female players on the tour in most of the major tournaments in the past 12 months.

The hard-hitting baseliner won her first Grand Slam title at the French Open 2019. She then also went on to win the WTA season-ending finale in 2019 held at Shenzhen. Barty finished the season 2019 at the top of female tennis players rankings. She was a firm favorite in 2020 Australian Open but lost in the semis to the eventual winner Sofia Kenin. Barty will have many more chances to lifts majors in her career.

The sensational Romanian is currently ranked as world number 2 among the WTA female tennis players. Halep had a fairly successful season in 2019. She failed to defend her title at the French Open but soon put aside the disappointment to lift the 2019 Wimbledon trophy. She beat the great Serena Williams in the tournament final. Simona has already been world number 1 and is one of the dominant female tennis players on the tour. She has lifted 20 singles titles so far and looks good for many more. Halep was one of the top favorites for the 2020 Australian Open. She exited in the semis after losing to Garbine Muguruza of Spain.

The Czech player sits at world number 4 among the current female tennis players. Pliskova has been one of the best and most consistent players on the WTA tour since she turned pro in 2009. She has also been world number 1 in the past. The talented starlet, however, has not tasted Grand Slam success yet. She came closest to do so in the 2016 US Open. Pliskova was however beaten in the final by German star Angelique Kerber. Karolina has also reached the semis at the French Open and the Australian Open. Her all-round and all-court game is expected to power her to a Grand Slam success soon.

The 21-year-old tennis sensation from Florida had her biggest career moment in February 2020. Kenin surprised the tennis world by lifting the Australian Open female singles championship. She beat Spain’s Garbine Muguruza in the final match. Sofia has now hit her career-best ranking of world number 4 among women’s tennis players. The right-handed baseliner with a powerful two-handed backhand has been constantly improving her game in the last few years. She is one of the most exciting female tennis players at the moment. Kenin has the talent and temperament to climb to the top of WTA rankings in the future.
